Rent a vehicle

Several rental companies let you hire a vehicle for the length of your stay. Prices generally range from €10 to €50 a day for two-wheelers depending on the season and model, or between €20 and €70 a day for cars.

Taking a taxi

Taxi fares vary depending on the distance between regions and the type of taxi used. Two separate networks coexist and never substitute for one another: city taxis, which operate only within Moroni, and inter-town taxis, which connect Moroni to the other regions. Introduction

In the Comoros, two separate taxi networks coexist and cannot substitute for one another. City taxis operate only within Moroni and are not allowed to drop passengers off outside the capital. Inter-town taxis, on the other hand, are not allowed to operate as city taxis within Moroni: they pick up and drop off passengers only at their respective bus/taxi station, or along the way to their zone. For example, taxis heading to the Mitsamiouli area leave from the Gare du Nord (North Station), north of Moroni. The fares below are the maximum authorized fares (in Comorian francs, KMF), set by joint decree of the ministries in charge of Transport and the Interior.
